Marcos 600 LM

Op de Autosalon van 1993 onthulde Marcos de GT Le Mans. Afgeleid van de Mantara, maar met een volledig herziene carrosserie en chassis, was dit de Marcos die de beroemde naam terugbracht naar de racecircuits over de hele wereld. Hij begon met de BRDC GT Challenge en uiteindelijk de 24 uur van Le Mans. Onder de vlag van Team Marcos-Computacenter bleek het raceprogramma van 1994 enorm succesvol, met de LM500-raceauto's die deelnamen aan het Britse BRDC GT Championship en in 1995 terugkeerden met de gloednieuwe LM600. Waar de LM500 indrukwekkend was, was de LM600 verbluffend. Hij pakte poleposition bij de eerste race, behaalde een overwinning in de GT2-klasse in de volgende race en won vervolgens als toegift alle klassen. De LM600 domineerde en won uiteindelijk het BRDC National Sports GT Championship van 1995. In juni 1995 ging het team naar Frankrijk voor de beroemde 24-uursrace van Le Mans. Ze eindigden deze slopende race op de zevende plaats in de klasse, een behoorlijke prestatie voor een kleine fabrikant.

At the 1993 Motor Show Marcos unveiled the GT Le Mans. Derived from the Mantara but with a completely revised body shell and chassis, this was the Marcos that brought the famous name back onto the racing circuits of the world. Starting in the BRDC GT Challenge and, ultimately, the Le Mans 24 Hours. Under the Team Marcos-Computacenter banner the 1994-racing program proved hugely successful with the LM500 racecars competing in the UK BRDC GT Championship, returning in 1995 with the brand new LM600. Where the LM500 was impressive the LM600 was astounding. It took pole position first time out, achieved a GT2 class victory in its next race and then outright victory as an encore against all classes. The LM600 went on to dominate and finally win the 1995 BRDC National Sports GT Championship. In June 1995 the team went to France for the famous Le Mans 24 hour race, finishing the grueling event seventh in class quite an achievement for a small manufacturer.
